I LOVE YOU
Dear Children:
You have been on my heart for a long time, especially those of you who are foster children, or homeless.
It breaks my heart that you kids always seem to be the ones in our society that are targeted by selfish people to be the ones who get kidnapped, abused, neglected, and forgotten about many times.
I Love You. I Love You with my whole heart. I wish I could be your dad and protect you, holding you in my arms and tell you that you are safe, that nobody will ever hurt you again. I hope to be a foster or adoptive parent this year, 2020, so that I can fulfill your dreams for a loving dad, for a few of you, and inspire others to do the same.
It has also been my dream to take care of some of you – to be someone that you can count on as your friend, dad, and mentor.
When I went back to college at Hope International University I took my first class in Child Development and learned how many of you kids were taken away from your parents and were placed in the foster care system and social services. There are so many of you – it breaks my heart to think how you must feel sometimes.
KIDS IN THE BIBLE
Fact: Hey kids, did you know that long ago, back in Biblical times, some children were hurt and abused, just like some of you are today?
Fact: Kids, did you also know that back in Biblical times, children were cherished by their parents, and people of their local society, as a PRECIOUS GIFT FROM GOD?
If you read, or have someone to read to you, about the history of people in the Old Testament and in the New Testament, you will find some stories about this.
